What makes our bees special? They come straight from our own apiaries and are carefully selected from the best breeders in England. We pride ourselves on breeding bees that are not only hardworking but also have a gentle temperament, making them a joy to work with. Each nucleus includes a queen, young bees, hatching brood, and plenty of food to ensure a healthy start for your new colony. Plus, the frames of comb are no more than two years old, ensuring optimal performance.
Your NUC will be supplied in a sturdy, non-returnable plywood travelling box, which is super handy for moving around your apiary. Each NUC consists of six frames, providing a balanced mix of bees of all ages, newly laid eggs, sealed brood, and honey stores to keep your bees well-fed and happy.
We typically have NUCs available for collection in May, June, and August, but please note that availability is subject to weather conditions during the spring. All collections are made from our location in Corby, Northamptonshire.
